Did you know that prior to European settlement in early 1825 Brisbane and surrounding areas, including Sunnybank were occupied by the traditional owners, the Turrbal people. Also these people all but disappeared into near-extinction due to the introduction of alcohol by white man. After which neighboring tribes such as "Jagera" "Gubbi" and "Wakka Wakka" plus others moved in to attempt to falsely claim this area as their ancestral homelands.
