Living in Marsden
Did you know that Marsden at one time fell within the boundaries of Kingston.
At one time the original settlers of this area formed what was know as the Kingston Park Progress Association, which was an organization that was active in developing the local area.
Around 1967 or organization placed a shed on the site now known as Marsden Park. The park got its name because the oldest serving member of the Kingston Park Progress Association was a lady by the name of Violet Marsden. Thus they opted to call the park "Marsden Park"
At that time the area was still within the boundaries of Beaudesert Shire Council and although this area was still part of Kingston the council started to call the local location by the name "Marsden" in around 1976.

Wikipedia also has some information about Marsden, although some of the facts, or at least the way its been written (rearrangement of the facts) it actually not correct. But they do have some other statistical information available.
